Sanford, FL In-Person Workshops with Linda Weber Collins - Mtn. Dulcimer and More

  • Sheryl and Greg Chapman's 111 Shirley Avenue Sanford, FL, 32771 United States (map)

11:00am – Get a Good Start (Beginner/Novice) DAd tuning

Linda’s approach to playing dulcimer includes attention to playing position, body dynamics, hand positions, using gravity and more. Get immediate results and a firm foundation for playing without pain for a lifetime.

12:30pm – Lunch – Bring your own sandwich/salad. Non-carbonated beverages and dessert provided.

1:30pm – Chord Workshop (All Levels) DAd tuning

We'll learn chords in various areas of the fingerboard. Then we'll utilize them in tunes. This equips us - even beginners - to add chords to a tune and play backup in sessions, without knowing the tune! Linda’s specialized chord charts will be provided.

3:15pm – All Instrument Workshop/Jam (All Levels)

How can we use what we’ve learned today? What else can we do to make our multi-instrument sessions more varied and memorable?
Use chords, melody and rhythm to add interesting “tidbits” to a jam.
Linda provides guidance for all instruments as we end the day.

Registrations limited to 10 participants for social distancing. Masks required.

Fees: $30 for one workshop
$50 for two workshops
$70 for all three workshops

Checks payable to Cabin Hill Music.
